Mercari identity verification

Just got hit with identity verification request today on my stealth acc and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. Should I submit my id and input real info on the acc and see what they do or does this mean that my account is done

Usually they ask for last 4 of SSN and have you do ID with your face. Not sure how you bypass it. Info needs to be real. I'm not sure if they link info, they might not have sophisticated enough algorithms to match like eBay.

From what i'VE SEEn they usually just require an ID. the SSN they don't seem to ask for it very often.

It was asked for me twice. Even one of the times was because I changed my email and bank account details. Maybe they just consider my account high risk.

I just changed my bank with no problems. But I don't sell a whole lot on there... they probably aren't worried about me.
