I signed up with company details and had to verify ID and send in company documents and proof of address.
It wouldn't let me use non UK residential address so I used the company address and it worked.

Anybody using stealth tiktok ads account in different countries? How long does it last? Can you use the same credit card?

I would assume that is because of your country, or maybe it's because I signed up within a month of it going live. I'm sure security will only increase, it never decreases in any marketplace.

To sign up for a business account they require you to have a company. You select your company from a drop down box. So it seems they have access to all that information worldwide

So I signed up last night with my own legit details. Had to do a selfie with photo ID. Verified within an hour, then this morning account suspended for fraudulent activity when I haven't even listed anything for sale.

Yes in the uk in order to get access to shopify payments. There aren't any decent payment processors available in South Africa for international payments

if you don't mind trying this just to see what happens, grab an old laptop you aren't using, format and reinstall the OS, then use a brand new landline IP.

Not even your phone tethering ip that you guys tend to use in UK.

I have sold in total $3,000 worth since November and that is with about 8% of my total inventory listed. Assuming I have more reputation built over time (feedback), and increased search results I should be making about $5,000-$10,000 per month on TikTok. That is a perfect secondary marketplace add on. With eBay I used to make about $20,000-$25,000 per month with my strong account. Now I can make even more not from one marketplace but by having multiple. It adds up, and reduces risk because sales are spread out, plus the accounts organically grow stronger over time.

How many listings is that? Do you post videos that link to the products?

I'm guessing you hold stock...

Only about 30 listings, variation listings though. Yes I have to keep stock so I'm able to ship quickly. That has been my biggest problem since 2020, and finally have fixed it after repeated issues.

No videos, just pictures however I will be paying to create some videos soon. I think that is where TikTok can shine bright. If you're to able to get a nice video made, use ads, maybe they don't all work but those few that go "viral" will work wonders. TikTok algos will hyper promote you, and I don't believe you need to be in the shop section to see the ads, so you're getting a massive MAU audience.

Certain brands you need to submit authorization for, otherwise you can list anything you want. Brands like Nike, The North Face etc. you need to prove you're authorized to resell.

So you dont have to make a video of yourself with the product? You can make a video of just the product and or Photos?

The current fees are 6%. There's a lot of videos you can download and slightly edit like a compilation video

Looks like tiktok limits daily product uploads by a 100 a day and limits orders by a 1000 a day for new sellers

I am only charged 2% + 0.30, that has applied for all recent sales no change. I sold $700+ yesterday, all charged same fee.

I heard on the tube it's 6...it seems they will be increasing it to 8 soon.

That's awesome. Plan to have a 1000 listings before the end of the month...5 day shipping in the UK.. will see how it goes

I don't know if it's different based on region, or if you're a new seller but for me it's 2% until April 1st. It then increases to 6%, and July 1st it will be 8%.

I have looked at what you are allowed and not allowed to sell, and it seems the prohibited list is very long. Which is kind of sad

It is not prohibited though, you just need to prove you're able to sell the brand. Figure that out and it equals opportunity.

I noticed my views for listings was down early this month, then randomly after 15th I saw it went up 100% week over week. I know that was TikTok algos doing something. Following this I got sales, like magic. Now have sold $1284 this month, back to around the amount I have made previous months.

I've been selling on TT for past few months, not really trying hard because its not my main platform. TT redacts all customer info which is lame bc I can't MCF products I have in FBA. Not really a big fan of the platform but I might start putting effort in as sales are still slowly coming in from videos I posted weeks ago.
