Anyone selling on onbuy?

Hi all, is anyone selling well on onbuy as of June 2023?

I was selling a little on there as an additional marketplace on top of ebay up until their new subscription changes. But then they changed their subscription fee to 22.8 GBP a month, (when originally they would waive this if you made less than 500GBP in sales). So I've stopped selling on there since as I was breaking even as the site gets so little traffic for my particular products.

Never heard of them. What is the sign up process like?

If you Google them you'll see them. Sign up process is pretty much the same as ebay now. You have to send them proof of company/sole trader and everything

Was not like that originally when they used PayPal, but about 8 months ago roughly they started asking all sellers for documents

That and the adding their own equivalent of managed payments, as well as charging £22.8 per month ruined their platform in my opinion

tried to sell on the platform a few years ago. got no traffic. but i see all these articles about them growing so i dunno. but signup process did require a manual review. i dont know what its like now cause they killed my account for inactivity

What about non-business accounts. you have to pay the monthly fee too? or is it FVF or something like that.

They list their monthly fees as £19 but do not tell you that VAT has to added, so it seems that they are solely aiming for business sellers.

onbuy is that selling app on your phone like mercari right?

I tried it once or twice and it just wasn't getting any traction, but this was I think 2 years ago.

Tons of scammers too

increased subscription fees are hardly seller-attractive

Interesting answers..

I gave up selling on onbuy, too little traffic and 22.8 GBP per month is to much for nearly 0 sales.

If you're a dropshipper you can make money on any half decent marketplace
