Mercari as a seller and buyer

Sure, as a seller you not paying fees whatsoever is nice.

But look at it from a buyer's perspective.

Some ahole wanted $150 on an item that retails for $175 new.
You are LIMITED to send an offer of $112.50.

IF the seller accepts, the total you'll be paying...... is $143.
Service fee , processing fee, shipping fee and TAX.

Imagine what you'd be paying on a full $150.

Complete turn off for buyers I'd think

I haven't tried our mercari but this is like buying tickets for shows online - processing fee...tax...site access fee...all garbage - it is a turn off

I don't know how they'll attract buyers if the buyers are stiffed with all the fees, it'll actually make the item cost quite a bit more than they expect
