mercari wants ID verification
 

i have 1k in funds in mercari . i can’t do the face scan because it’s obviously not the person registered to the account . any advise or are my funds gone ?

Hmmmm... it does make it tougher, but doesn't mean you can't be "creative" with the ID and docs. WOrth a try

Tell them that you went through a gender transition so can't do the face scan and then do a Saijin said^ You can pay someone to do it for you. I forgot what the website we're called its similar to sites like blackhat forum though.

I hate to break it to you, but the funds are likely gone. Mercari is notorious for robbing money. No matter what you threaten, they don't care. Let me guess, the items were "prohibited". Even if you pass the ID check, they are going to close the account or ask for documentation for the inventory. At 1k, I'd continue to be creative. (offer your friend a portion of the proceeds, better than nothing) But from now on, create a new account ALWAYS withdraw when you can, and keep your balance under what you're willing to lose.

Some drivers license photos are black and white like in canada :noidea:


If request ID and selfie, they probably only compare selfie to the new ID

so when black and white pics are at play, you might be able to get away with a little more leeway on the selfie matching?
