| Good54 | 03-03-2025 12:53 PM | Need Advice Hi. Is it possible at all for an outside 3rd party to compromise your selling account in any way?
I've been dealing with a very bad stalker issue from a female and she's trying everything she can to ruin my life.
Can she compromise my selling account in anyway?
Thanks |

Short answer is yes |
Re: Need Advice Good54, try to get backup accounts going in case this stalker reports you and causes issue - if you know her buyer handle, block from bidding |

Short answer is yes | EU and US.
How?
This isn't a stealth. |
| Papyrusman | 03-05-2025 09:48 AM | Re: Need Advice If she knows your account info, sure. If she doesn't, I would worry too much about it.
But the other guys are right, the most annoying thing she probably can do is buy something from you on ebay or AMZ and report it or leave bad feedback. |

This isn't a stealth. | This stalker knows about your eb account? If not - I wouldn't worry about it |

I've been down this road. Play their game, don't ignore it. | I agree and disagree.
The last time this happened to me was because someone wanted a refund, I denied it, they then requested the marketplace to refund them, I provided evidence to support my side, they were then denied a refund a second time...
So he spent about 2 weeks creating ⊗⊗⊗⊗ reddit usernames, and making threads, and posting using my information. Once I refunded him in silence, he stopped. I think if you bring attention to what they're doing, they'll just keep doing it.
This is the whole point of them doing it. Eventually they'll stop, assuming whatever caused this is resolved. So if its in the case of refunding, maybe consider. Just have to weigh pro/cons.
I trolled my customer because he got rejected twice, and that was my last lesson in realizing its pointless to do that. There is no winning, if anything it leaves an open door for crazy land.
My loss $200, but in reality he could have caused me much more issues, and loss of sales. If the time it takes to fix the problem is less time than it would be for you to simply refund, move on and sell more items to replace this loss, do that. For your own peace its worth it. |

I agree, this is coming from a place of wisdom.
but ideally if we're in the right, we shouldn't have been blackmailed like this and there should have been seller protection in place to prevent something like it.
wishful thinking? |

these instructions allow offline stalkers to easily move online | I don't really see a lot of instructions being written though...so I don't see big informative news - just common sense | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:38 AM. | |
