Poshmark restricted
 

I tried to sell a few items on poshmark. Created my account but as soon as listed my first item which was used inexpensive boots the listing disappeared. Customer service told me I am tied to a previously restricted account. How can I sell on poshmark does stealth work ? I think some relative living with me got banned in the past not sure

First question - do you have a previously restricted account? second q - have you understood stealth principles? Worth a shot to try

I live with my sister and she said she only has a buyer account and was never restricted. So this doesnt make sense.
By stealth I’m think the old aspkin book ways so long as I stay under $2000 for this reporting year?
Does anyone have experience with Poshmark?

It doesn't necessarily matter that your sister's buyer account was never restricted - platforms like poshmark, eb, etc, are known to auto-restrict new accounts just based on links...that's why stealth is important

If that is not true then you call them up again and fight them.

THey probably made a mistake. Amazon does this too.

I haven't seen many people got in trouble at poshmark, but I would actually make stealth n Poshmark based on amazon ghost.

Learn about the stealth principles by reading book + reading around forums for hot topics.

Or find someone selling readymade accounts but do your due diligence

Poshmark has no phone support, and you have to learn yourself how to make new accounts and adapt stealth to each marketplace. Stealth does not apply to all marketplaces, each one has it's own issues and things that needs to be understood for longevity of the account. Stealth works for all marketplaces, but the same things on eBay are not the same for Amazon... etc

She said she had a relative living with her at one time and that relative account could have been restricted,if so,then Poshmark could have linked the 2 accounts.
I assume that relative is not her sister.

Right - I reread the thread and there is sister mentioned. But none of them have restricted accounts - regardless, being linked to active accounts could still cause issues

Yes it’s my sister whom I live with but she told me she hardly ever uses Poshmark and she was never restricted. I’m assuming they just made up that “linking” accusation because they don’t like new users selling items before purchasing.

Possible conclusion - time to make unlinked stealth accounts and build them with time

They give false explanations. For example, if you are suspended for f*ke goods, you typically don't receive an email saying this, your closet is just removed. Or if this happens for late shipping.

Then lets say someone opens a claim, or reports a problem ___ pick your reason. They will automatically claim the goods are f*ke and refund the customer because the status of your account. Even if you get your account back, and the original suspension should not have happened, everything within that timeframe is considered "valid". Meaning they will claim the customer was refunded because the product is f*ke simply because of the status of your account. Has nothing to do with the sale or anything you say.

They are mindless robots who just follow scripts. Lack ability to think or form their own thoughts so they're subject to following a guideline instead.

I have not made new accounts for a while, but last time between 2021-2023, there are soft restrictions commonly that occur. When you just have an empty closet, no email or anything to explain why.

Sounds painful - is it even that profitable? High traffic flush with cash?

Can you not get a new android cell phone and create a fresh account using a friend or family member? Start out small with browsing and grab a small item and whilst in the purchase process, list an inexpensive item just to get a live listing and see if it lasts 30 days.

I use this method across marketplaces like Vinted and Facebook

postmarks links accounts by IP,device,or address, so past bans can affect you, stealth can work but needs clean setup and new info. Avoid using anything tied to old accounts.

This to a T. Always check your closet. The email support wont even respond most of the time. Your closet just evaporates. There is no rectifying the problem from my experience with them.
