HTML, PHP, JAvaScript and More

Coding, the foundation of the Internet. Do you know HTML? I do!

I use dreamweiver and CuteFTP mostly. But it's good to know the coding behind the pages. Knowing a little php, asp, html or whatever is lifesaver if you need to change or fix something.

Speaking of which, I'm trying to get a grip on why my pages colors are turning out strangely. I often use templates and find that the title or text turns out a different color that what I see in the preview before submitting. What's the most likely cause of that, and what do I need to remove/change in the html to clean it up and get rid of any excess code that's over-riding what I've selected? Is this some sort of weird color mixing thing that certain template colors will affect the color of text on that page?

Hey, post your code here and I'll see what the problem is. It can be sometimes overlapping code which can do it. Or if you have CSS, "style" defining the text, that'll do it too.

Hey Aspkin,

What coding do you like best - HTML, PHP, ASP? I have used each one and it seems like everyday you need to update things for security reasons.

We'll you need HTML for just about everything, but other then that, PHP is more flexible, has better support, cheaper databases, and to me more stable. I'd go PHP all the way. ASP has been a pain the last couple of years.
