IOFFER Question

what is the deal with this website? Now here is an example. They offer a buy it now and also and offer. They have a 0.1 ceent item and free shipping. so i purchase the item and they send me a paypal link for say 70.00. WTF! am i missing something. can anyone help me understand this. thanks...

I have limited experience with Ioffer, but I don't think that is within their rules. Normally, a buyer can make you an offer lower than your asking price and you can either accpet or make a counter offer.

But if you agreed to a one cent charge for the item and then they send you a bill for $70, I don't think you are under any obligation to proceed with the transaction.

Could the seller have made a mistake?

I do not know i think they are trying to scam. They have multiple selling accounts with the same items listed. I purchased some boot dvd 's on there because they do not make them on dvd but they all arrived fine. But looking at watches??? I think they are bait and switch...

iOffer Question

Sometimes iOffer sellers offer a really low price but make up for it in high shipping. You have to agree to the sale before you are obligated to pay. If this isn't what happened, report the seller to iOffer.

Be careful with iOffer. I've ordered from different sellers about 3 times and have been burned each time. They will send you something but it's not always what is listed and might not look anything like the pictures they show. When you question them, the reply is "oh really", or they don't respond at all.

If you use iOffer, never pay with Western Union. There is no way to get your money back if you get scammed. Always pay with Paypal so if there is a problem, you can dispute the transaction and get your money back.

I believe they do that to avoid the high ioffer fees, sort of how eBay sellers offer 1.00 buy it now and original price for shipping. It's all tactics to save on fees! ;)
