Does anyone use their own site to redirect to ebay store?

Hi, I was reading auctiva forums last night and I was wondering does anyone here have their own domain set up purely to redirect traffic to their ebay store? Does this generate more traffic? It sounds like a good idea if you have an ebay store, let me know what you think. Thanks, and Happy Valentines Day.

Personally I don't think it's the best use of time. You're really only promoting eBay. If you have affiliate links on your site (through CJ.com) and if you're able to change things up if you get suspended and lose you store by eBay maybe it could be worth it. Also if it's automated as well.

If you're going to create a site at all it should be your own online business, not promoting eBay; but taking your own sales using a shopping cart like cs-cart.com. Just my opinion.

HI, Rose.. Happy Val to u 2! :)
My hubby got me a black diamond ring from diamonds.com, looks fab!
(were going 2 dinner 2nite,, he tells me--dont bring your cell phone so u can ck on your auctions!!! :))

BTW- the only traffic generator Ive used with my ebay store was their ebay key words program, which you bid on.. they phased it out. Now, they have something new, but Ive read where your listings come up better in priority in search if your shipping is lesser??

The most effective way to drive internet traffic to your ebay store is in your store description. Fill this with keywords only. No pretty descriptive sentences! Then choose a store template that does not show the store description. I've done this for my accounts and my customers. Many times we have been able to make their products show up in the top 5 on google. Ebay pays for optimal search engine traffic so use that to your advantage!
