Things like pastry brushes are selling for $10-20 a piece ! You can get them for $3-4 here in the US.

How on earth can you buy from there and make a profit?

Those are their "site fillers" no doubt - you need to look at their other offerings. You don't buy these that's for sure OR you buy them in MASS bulk - i am sure prices go down if you buy 100s.

That's how these things tend to work.

Sometime they offer "free shipping" but actually add it to the price of the item.

Yes - it also tends to cost "more" to send 1 item than 100 of them in terms of mailing costs.
