google adwords and page rank
 

Hi all,
i had a website which had google adwords on it with a balance i didnt pay... the website wasnt doing so well as it was the first one i ever made and i didnt like the layout of the shopping cart etc...
anyway, do google penalize a webpage ranking if you owe them money? i think they probably do but if anyone knows for sure

Also, i actually let the domain and hosting expire a couple of months ago,
so if i get the old domain name again, on a different sever, with a different shopping cart, will google still think it is the old webpage as far as owing them money and page ranking etc

any advice or info appreciated

oh , i forgot that when i checked my adwords account, balance is now $0, which i know for a fact money was owing on it before, and i didnt get charged for it...

they arent going to help you out if you dont pay.....im sure thats pretty obvious. Would you continue to do a service for someone if they didnt pay you?

I don't think Google will care about the Adwords balance... Google will look at it as a new site if it has been down for a few months and you then build a new site.

It probably is closed out and sent to collection. Thats why it shows $0. My guess

Not sure about the other thing but I do know that if you let a domain expire there are companies out there that buy them up knowing that someone may want it again later.

Happened to me on 3 occasions. Got lazy and didnt renew. 3 days later all were taken by some big company. I contacted them and they offered them to me for way more than it would have cost to begin with. That is how they make their money. They have hundreds of thousands of names bought cheap and sell them for a profit. Even if its just double what they paid they make money.
