- - Alternative eBay...

zepel | 08-28-2011 03:13 AM | Alternative eBay... My PayPal account got limited last night, which is totally fine even though it has some cash in it. It made me look around the web for an alternative method to sell my stuff. Found one, sold an item in less that one day on it.
I came across a website with 36,000 people registering every week, with 4.3 million auctions going on right now. You pay a ZERO final value fee on anything you sell, you get a free store, and they give you the method of using PayPal and Google checkout. Its a Google shopping marketplace partner. If your selling good name brand items you should give it a shot, they seem to sell real quick on there just like eBay, same prices too. You can check it out and sign up with the link below. http://us.ebid.net/perl/normal.cgi?r...=register-main |
Val Rossi Moto GP | 08-28-2011 03:21 AM | Been their done it a shame it's not better. |
zepel | 08-28-2011 03:24 AM | Yeah, that's why I said good name brand items. Selling crappy items from China or some product that went out of production ten years ago wont do. For example, if your selling good electronics like cell phones, iPods, gaming consoles, stuff like that will sell real quick. |

zepel | 08-28-2011 03:36 AM | I think everyone on this website has been suspended from eBay, that doesn't make us all scammers. And I will find out how it goes tomorrow. I already have an established Google checkout account, and I got a bid on my Motorola Druid X from someone with 22 feedback. I'll see how it goes |

ben23 | 08-28-2011 03:59 AM | "eBid does not have an individual site located in your country currently so you will only be able to buy and not sell on eBid."
:mad2: |
Lheonard | 08-28-2011 10:28 AM | Hi guys,
I'm located in France but my items are located in US, can I create a seller account on ebid US?
Thanks. |
Sooner | 08-28-2011 11:26 AM | I have had an eBid account for about a year and have sold nine (yes, just nine) items. Three of those nine have been "non paying buyers" so I've only shipped six items. Fairly pathetic sales for having my account there for about a year. eBid just doesn't have the eyeballs looking at it like the dark side does. I'm hopeful that my eBid sales will eventually pick up but I'm not holding my breathe. |

:mad2: | They always screw the Israelis.lol |
zepel | 08-28-2011 12:55 PM | Update. I sold my first item on ebid, a Motorola X for 175 USD. Buyer paid me through google checkout. Shipping it tomorrow, seems to be going well.
Ebid can be an awesome website if you sell good name brand items, like electronics, clothes, computers, etc. Selling ordinary items like you would on eBay wont sell there quickly. Stick to items always in demand and you will have a good business there. |
Sucks that they force you to use Canadian eBid if you are around with...Canada IP. |
Sooner | 08-28-2011 01:49 PM | There is also Bonanza. I opened a "booth" (similar to eb store) last week but no sales. Like eBid, I'm not going to hold my breathe for lots of sales.
Congrats zepel on your first eBid sale! |
zepel | 08-28-2011 02:05 PM | Yes, you register with a Canadian ebid.. But your auctions/buy it now will appear everywhere if you allow it.
Sooner, never used Bonanza, has it worked for you? And what were you selling on eBid? Some items work on eBid others don't.
I am going to use Amazon for appliances/household items, stuff like that. And eBid for my cell phones/ipods, etc |
Sooner | 08-29-2011 09:58 AM | Zepel ~ I've only been on Bonanza for a couple of weeks and have not yet sold anything. I'm selling the exact same items I sold on eb (HBA items ~ makeup, etc.) and these items sold like wildfire on eb but sales have been extremely slow on eBid and non-existant on Bonanza. I'm not giving up on eBid or Bonanza especially since I can list for free. I signed up for the Seller + lifetime on eBid. |
zepel | 08-29-2011 10:44 AM | Yeah, I signed up for Seller+ too lol. Best of wishes |
Sooner | 08-29-2011 02:36 PM | My eBid and Bonanza accounts are linked to the Pay-Pull account linked to my now suspended eb account. This non-suspended/limited Pay Pull account is in my husband's name/SSN. I lost my Pay Pull account in January 2010.
Best wishes to you also! |
zepel | 08-29-2011 05:05 PM | Lol sounds like a pain in the ass, my account got suspended for selling **** from china, then my second account got suspended for being a high risk. I love eBid, google check out is awesome. And everything I have listed so far has sold.. |
SweetPea | 08-29-2011 08:26 PM | It is worth a try. Don't give up on EBid. We need another avenue away from Ebay. Ebay needs to have a wake up call about all their rules and policies. Personally, if it weren't for a good income, I would like Ebay to :boom: |
Hmm, I don't know, I was all like going to sign up and stuff until I started reading reviews that you get shut down on eBid even faster than on eBay. Just not worth paying the $50 seller+ fee, too big of a gamble.
I mean they ask for driver's license and stuff right away. |
SweetPea | 08-29-2011 11:22 PM | Well if the stuff you're selling is legit, you shouldn't have a problem. Not everyone suspended or restricted on Ebay are bad sellers. Some of us have been punished for falling above 1% on DSR scores. I don't know about EBid, but I can't imagine it is worse than Ebay. Ebay is definitely the avenue for the most income. Anyone else have input on Ebid? |
unkown5454 | 08-30-2011 04:02 AM | e Bid is a godd*amn joke. Don't waste your time.
Bona nza stomps them in every way. I have made great money there and it is very similar to EB.
If you want multiple accounts on Bona nza, follow the same stea lth steps as EB. They do track quite a few pieces of information like CC, PP account, and IP address. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:51 AM. | |
