Aspkin I have a few questions

I haven't been on for a while, I'm actually working on importing some stuff and it looks like I'm going to be doing well. I think the stuff I have will sell online as opposed to ebay. I went and registered a domain name with godaddy

They had an option to build your own site with a cart. I spent 29$ for one month just to mess around with it and see how it was. It seemed ok.

Looking at CS cart it looks like a good value as opposed to 29$ a month over the long term.

some of those CS cart sites look ok,

I'm selling some high end stuff and I was wondering, what would be my best option making my site look sleek and impressive. Is it possible to do with CS cart ?
I know basic html what should I be focusing on programming wise to give my site that smooth professional appeal?

Thanks

Ok I bought the CS-cart I can't wait to set it up, If anyone aside from apskin has any input.

I definitely can use the advice.

I would recommend CS-cart for its features, solid platform, looks, etc.

I've done a lot of research into find a great shopping cart and it's the best value I've found. It's pretty easy to get going too, you can literally do everything from its backend.

aspkin

what would be more advisable, spending $265 and using the stock options in CS-cart or hiring someone from getafreelancer and paying him the $265 to customize OSCommerce for you?

i plan on using oscommerce for my ecommerce website.

oscommerce takes more work to get going, but it's free. Good luck

Install firebug for firefox. It will really help you a lot in terms of breaking down the css of the site for the look you want. My site has been completely altered, it looks nothing like a cs cart.
