BEST BUY New Marketplace: Has anyone joined yet?

Hi I see Best Buy is joining the online craze and starting a New Marketplace seller venue. Has anyone joined and if so what do you think?

Thanks

Wow never heard of this. Interesting.

I'm at the page and is it like Ebay where random people list things? It looks like it's only retailers.

Old news and not interesting because you must be a legitimate company. All these big companies trying to start "marketplaces" are all the same thing and it's pointless.

Aye guyz, i recommend webstore! It will be the next ebay to come.. Going bigger by da day! Best part is.. No seller fees!

just like how ebay started...now look. nothing is as good as it seems.

rsot 04-16-2012 09:10 AM

But is Best Buy only for electronics?

pearldoreee 04-16-2012 09:23 AM

RSOT.. It seems like it is. Or alternatively... Unisquare has a similar layout like ebay.. I like their simple & clean interface! Must check it out because they seem quite promising to me! Go read them out if u have a chance..

rsot 04-16-2012 09:58 AM

Will do - Unisquare hmm never heard of it. I don't sell electronics so need to see other platforms.

pearldoreee 04-16-2012 08:04 PM

And if all of us here move to one common mktplace.. Then i dont c why we need to live under the radar of ebay ;)

These smaller guys want CRAZY requirements...

pearldoreee 04-16-2012 10:50 PM

Who are the smaller guys, . .how crazee are they?

ovidiu 04-17-2012 03:11 AM

For example, Buy.com marketplace, one of the first ones, requires you input a social security number from the get go. I applied and they never even got back to me. Waste of time.

pearldoreee 04-17-2012 07:02 AM

But why would you want to get register to such when it requires you to go thru so much. Definitely a time waste! I see potential in unisquare - easy, simple , hassle free n the best part is.. Their layout is quite similar to ebay!

4theloveofthegame 04-17-2012 08:03 AM

I just found unisquare had never heard of them. thanks

2% flat fees not bad!

rsot 04-17-2012 08:31 AM

Nice stuff - process of checking out.

No worries! And dont ya love the crisp, clean, simple layout? ;)

I don't know how long it will take Unisquare to pick up traffic. For now, I don't think they have the buyers. Most of sellers are single digit feedback or still at "0".

pearldoreee 04-20-2012 11:15 AM

Unisquare is very new in the market - go check out their site that says "about us". And if all of us hea in this forum moves over to unisquare n start selling/buying..am sure it will be a rival to ebay if not soon!

Funny I was just reading posts from 2007 that said the same identical thing for other sites that are now dead...lol

GreenBean 04-24-2012 08:41 PM

I'm making a new site.

Fantasy Selling :snicker:

One of the users here, imjustme, has plans for a new site.

I would recommed considering his platform. His approach appears better long term.

pearldoreee 04-25-2012 08:48 AM

GB.. Whuts the link?

Im active at WEBSTORE - i find features provided there are lot better than ebay. And u can see the crowd is coming. Best part is.. No selling or listing fees!
