I'm surpised Etsy was #3.

I am not as Etsy has perfected a catch of a certain hot market in America right now and it happens to cover a part of my area of expertise. Antiques.

If you look at the items that have sold on etsy they have drawn that huge crowd of gen xers, hipsters etc etc to their site and ebay has lost those buyers.

I see them doing better from here on in unless they screw it up.

I don't know that those states are the best measure of traffic. I think if you couple that with monthly uniques then you have a better picture. I highly doubt that amazon has double the traffic of ebay; Maybe just more loyalty.

Another site worth noting up there is buy.com as it is now a direct competitor of amazon since it was bought by Rakuten (I know the OP posted this before that transaction).

Time has come to get in on Rakuten

I too wish we had better alternatives that provided the necessary traffic that could convert into sales. I own a website and have been running it for a few years, and would be more than happy to use it to offer a service like eBay and Amazon where sellers and buyers can engage in sales and trading (where I wouldn't charge a cent for these sales - I benefit from having more potential customers visiting my website) but the reason why I have not taken that route is simply because I don't know how many people would take that option when most prefer to use eBay or Amazon for their purchases.

Develop that website to the max

I did. Don't see anything wrong. What are you referring to?

Looks like crap with words all misaligned. Maybe it's a safari thing.
