Search Engine Tool?

Im looking for a search engine tool that tells you how many times a year/month/week/day a keyword was searched

for ex:

keyword : book
searched lasted year : 34652223 times
on google, yahoo, msn, aol, etc.

i know there is a tool out there that gives you results like this when you type in a keyword, just cant seem to find it anymore,
does anyone know where i can find this tool or website?

I need this info. because im looking to see out of my list which are te most popular/most searched keywords so i can do p/p/c on those top 10 keywords only

if anyone knows, let me know
thanks

thanks, ill give it a try

for everyone who has a adword google account, google has a program that does just this call the the google traffic estimator

if you have a adword account and you want to check it out, heres how you get in

To access the standalone Traffic Estimator tool through the Tools page in your account:

1. Log in to your AdWords account at adwords.google.com.
2. Click the Tools link on the Campaign Management tab.
3. Click Traffic Estimator.
4. Enter keywords: In the field provided, enter your keywords so that each word/phrase appears on its own line.
5. Choose a currency: Select your currency, then enter a specific CPC bid for your estimates, or let us suggest a value. Our suggested value should deliver ads in the top position 85% of the time. If you feel you don't need your ad in the top position 85% of the time, you can reduce the CPC bid.
6. Choose your target languages: Select which languages you'd like to target.
7. Select Location Targeting (countries, regions and cities, customized)
8. Choose one or more target countries: Select which country you'd like to target.
9. Select if you want the estimates provided to be customized based on your account history.
10. Click Continue to see your estimates.

I still don't get why people track keywords so much. I can understand the keywords with the least competition is easier to rank for, but can that really help you? I just go for the big keywords and let my content aim for the small fish; it usually works out okay.

well there might be some keywords your competition might have missed, esp. if the category of items you are selling is not that competitive, in this case you can see what keywords are most popular,

-Do PPC
-Take your competitor's customers
-After a while when your site is well talked about, take it off from PPC
-Your site will rank high naturally on the search engines
