Used to buy a lot from them back in the day . notice last year the site looked strange.

oh wow did not know that. Buy used to be huge. I guess it means more competition here which is good for buyers and bad for sellers.

i think buy.com sold to another company. i don't think they went under...the name alone is worth millions

I have actually owned and sold several websites with many of them being vacation or beach themed websites.

I am not new to the flipping website thing and know the value of the names on websites.

Creative? I create a website with an amazing name and dot com for a beach town that I sold on GoDaddy for 2500.00. I had it on hostgator for only a few days when it was done and it sold that quick.

CAN YOU MAKE MONEY ON NAMES ALONE OR DO YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY BUILD THE SITE AND HOST IT,,

RAKUTEN is the company you mean - Rakuten own a company called Linkshare aswell
