What can we do to take down ebay?
 

Ebay are bullying people, us sellers, who make them money and it is evident on this site.

Things like accounts getting banned for no reason or banning all household accounts for 'a link' such as same IP.

What other sites are good enough to take ebays place?

What is ebid like? Or google shopping?

Explore the other options and test the waters.

Amazon...etsy...ebid...etc.

Along with me there are thousands of other users on this forum who earn income from eb so no thank you. What do you think this site is for? obviously to get around the bans, staying under radar, making new accs, etc.. so obviously your doing something wrong that your mad, i know eb can be a noob.

You think its that easy to take down eb and just switch to sites like ebid or google ..LOL.

Who said it is easy?

Will obviously take a long time, spread the word etc


Anything i want to buy i go to amazon first to see if i can buy it from there.

I still make money on ebay therefore there needs to be a replacement for ebay where we can transfer our business too not stop altogether. The whole sneaking around thing isn't right- permanent life bans from the site are not on. I'm sure most will learn their lesson for 1 year bans etc.

First of all why in the heck would you want to take them down?

Many of us make a very good income from ebay.

Dont like them and their ways but they make me a lot of money and others as well.

You will never take them down, they are too strong and too big.

Others will compete and only google can take a large chunk of their business if they decide to ever get into it.

No matter why you want them to go down how about learning other ways to sell.

I sell on etsy, craigslist, amazon and a few other sites and have a customer based of ebay buyers over many years I sell direct to.

We all know eb is a pita but if you are willing to learn how to play the game YOU can be in the driver seat making some crazy money.

I dont ever wish bad on others and to take ebay down would destroy many peoples incomes and that is not a good thing.

The funny thing is that by "raping ebay" or taking the down, your lining there pockets.

The only way we could hurt them is to all of us combined stop selling & making them 2 million a month just of us stealthers :juggle:

You get days that you just wished EB vanished, but the main thing is never give up.
I mean, i have seen over this forum that many people are kicked of no reason....

Sandy is right, YOU are the driver...just do not let them get to you and learn alot on these forums

Myron why you are so angry about ebay? Ebay has a great traffic that other sites don't

Not only are Ebay and PP not going away, they are gettting larger. Both are doing record revenue and record profits.

Learn to ADAPT or YOU may end up going away.

We're a TINY fraction of ebay users/sellers here, nothing we can do can, or will ever make an impact.

No doubt Sandy, you work very hard, me...totally different situation but we agree on the No to "eBay takedown".

You have to do what you got to do.

So many people rely on ebay for income even though we know they are one of the poorest ran businesses I have ever ran across.

I hear you about ebay. I know full well its horrors.

I always made bluidy good money on ebay.

Now, thanks to this forum, I've tripled what I make.

Do I want ebay taken down?

Do I want hell to freeze over?

NO.

You would appear to be at that mind set of anger. Put that away. Be proactive for yourself.
Milk the ebay cow so that YOU reap the money. Never be controlled by ebay.
Get over the victim part.
Changing your approach will open the way to trading on other venues.

I have added etsy, amazon to mine. The day is not long enough to do the business I want to do.

And that is simply because I made the choice of Get Knotted ebay. I will never let you beat me.

Without eBay, I could not have payed cash for the woman of my life, my Toyota Prius. Now on to bigger and better things for the future, more eBay accounts.

Remember my friend....It is always business and never personal...When Ebay bans you they dont even care who you are, what color you are, what religion you claim, or if you have kids or not...You are just a tool to them so you should look at them as a tool as well...I look at Ebay as something that I can pimp to make me money...Most people on this site look at Ebay as an unbeaten force that no company can overtake but I look at Ebay as my prostitute, something that I can put on the corner and even in my sleep she will make me money...What can I say, ebay is my woman ;) lol When Ebay dies another company will take the throne and many people will dislike them and many people will find a way to create stealth accounts. It never stops so stop look at them as an enemy but as an opportunity my friend....

I just wish they weren't so harsh with the perma life ban.

And seller team keep playing about with me. Paypal say call ebay your limit problem is with them and ebay say no its paypal. They are takin the p*ss so just need to go full stealth now buy the book and go from there.

It's true i know people make alot of money i have myself- and would probably not be able to afford alot of things i can being a student and may not have had the motivation to start a business if it wasn't for the crazy sales on ebay.

I was merely wishing for a competitor we could transfer to which would enable us to have a second chance under our real identities. You know, the whole monopoly thing where companies take advantage of the lack of competition by doing whatever the f they want!

Perma life ban on that account...not on other stealth accounts :) Play the game

If google makes an auction / e-merchant website...

It's a game, nothing against eBay nor should you wish eBay away because of how it's playing the game. It's better to think how best you can work with eBay rather then wish for it's demise.

As I stated here many times, WE choose to play their game.

Ebay, Amazon, PayPal, etc... they own their sites, it's their rules, it's their TOS.

If we don't like the rules then don't play the game.

Same goes for Yelp and all those other sites we try and get reviews.

Learn to work within the confines of THEIR game.

I love eb. Its pp that causes me more trouble. I still love them too though. I think they're the ones that should and do hate me.

How about-- what can we do to help ebay and paypal run a business that is consistent and does not try to screw over the same people who allow the officers of each company to own million dollar homes and fly private jets.

Ngalo has a good point. People spend too much time hating those on top. One of the reasons why it is so lonely on top. Rather then put your energy into hating them and taking them down, feign friendship and use them for your personal gain. Why take someone down when you can make them work for you without them even knowing it. Apply this Ebay and you will be fine.

Pimp the game for it is worth....Ebay makes it hard at times by shutting down some of our stealth accounts....Thats how it is sometimes....Pay the cost to be the boss. Let me break this down in pimp-ology. Lets say u put 4 on the corner to get that money and the police (Ebay) takes down 2. What would u do next? Cry? I would put 10 more on the corner (stealth accounts). They took down 2 so I lost money but I put up more then double on the corner so I will recover that lost plus make more (profit). I dont get mad at the police or the game. I embrace it because as a pimp I dont bite the hand that feeds me.

Certainly an eclectic group of people on this forum.
