Anybody sell on etsy?
 

Imterested in selling on etsy, buthave some questions for people that do..i am into collecting and selling vintage toys. From 70's and 80's..

What is best method for payments? Id prefer not to use pp, but...

How have sales been for oir items compared to eb?

If you are using your real info on etsy get a PO box and have them send you a postal money order.

No issues so far with pp.

Be careful with the age of your items, they get real picky when you get into the "late" 1980s and into the 90's stuff.

There are other ways to collect funds that others may use also.

Paypal is preferred. Direct checkout works as well too.

Not been issues of limits with my sales. Buyers have been fine.

You can state in your listing how soon you expect funds.
Make sure to define everything.

Most (women) do not and will never use a money order. My wife started on etsy a while back and usually makes like 5k a month but lately has been anywhere form 5-10k. 80% direct checkout.

But they can issue cheques :thumb:

I actually get several postal money orders.

How is it to sell on etsy?

• traffic ?
• big amounts of sales ?

Surprising. Evolution must be slow with women and online purchases.

Did you take a look at see if anyone else has sold or listed like items?

Aprons might be a good item as many women buy on etsy.

I know personally a ton of women who are very successful at selling on ebay, amazon, etsy, cyber attic and many other sites. Actually they do far better then most men I know.

It is just a knack we have of knowing what other women want to buy.

And women by far are the big spenders online.

If someone wants to send me a money order I am all for it.

Bypassing paypal is a smart move!!

I see people have my kind of items listed. It's just hard to tell how well other sellers are doing as there feedback could have come from ebay?
