Tips for your own store online =)
 

Ok, here we go:

I know many of us think to much when it comes to business and internet.
The problem is not how much a person thinks about anything , the problem is when you hesitate and you choke. Nowadays i work almost every hour of the day in some way, im online, mobile, everywhere. But i have been hesitating, sleepless and without a clear mind once upon a time , thats why i want to give you guys here a few useful tips and tricks if you want an online store easy and quite cheap.

The online store:

Wich way to go? The ready made? Open source? Hosted?
There are many options, but i can tell from experiance that you should always start opensource "OS". OS Carts is often free and gives you the oprtunity to testdrive before you choose to invest any money in it (good)

For an example im gonna explain a opencart solution and what i usually pay.
(Installation is not that hard and there are plenty of tutorials online, many hosts also have autoinstallers for software like Opencart, Prestashop etc)

Test stage = 0$: using a free host and a free subdomain, gmail. Standard OC THEME

Selling stage = 36-100$: paid a-grade hosting including .com domain + domain mail. PAID THEME

Ok so now i have my store online and want it took look just as amazing as my heavy competitions stores. This will easy been done with Some great themes.
(Themes for OC is quite cheap and can make your store look good, when you have learned the store admin youll be able to make your store look even better.)

After installing store+theme i add products and voila! Im online and didnt pay a fortune :) i usually host around 5 different stores+domains for each hosting account so i dont buy hosting (domain only) if i want to open up a second store.

I hope this post help and please all of you that want your own online store but think it's to expensive (think again) and dont waste your money on highpriced Bogus solutions.

Your own site is always the preferred method, however keep in mind that is the easy part. The hard part is getting traffic to your site. I am just getting started on it myself

True, traffic can tricky , especially international traffic, but a seller can get Some local traffic
In easy ways such as posting ads in newspapers groverystores , craigslist :)

I definitely agree. Always good to start small. In the end it depends on what you sell

That's the easy part.. from my very little experience in the past getting real traffic was always my problem unless you shell out tons of cash.

Any ideas on the traffic subject?
