i just want to know what your problem is ???? | Its called constructive criticism.
Although my comments may seem like an attack to you and I may appear to be nothing more than an @$$, let me just say that they are quite the contrary. I am trying to help you, not attack you.
I have built several highly successful websites, one right now with millions of members and from my own experiences I can tell you with absolute certainty that if you dont even have 1 product listed after a month, something is seriously wrong. As I said in my earlier post, you should be pulling in dozens of sellers per day with 0 expenses.
I am sure your friends and neighbors have something to sell. Or even your family members like brothers, sisters, uncle, aunt, mother, father, etc. Tell them each to open an account and list at least 1 product. Then do the same with your friends and neighbors.
Nobody wants to be the first seller and the first product. If after over a month you dont even have 1 product listed, you are failing and you need to turn things around.
Instead of asking me what my problem is, you should be addressing your problems. Because if you fix your problems, then I wont have to write what I am writing now.
Etsy and eBay have millions of people complaining about them. You have nobody complaining about you. Just a few people trying to help you. You can either in a few years say " hey I am glad I took that guy's advice" or keep doing it your way which doesnt seem to work out.
Again, sorry if it appears mean or harsh to you, but thats how the world works. Nobody is going to lay a carpet made of roses on your feet all the way to success land. I just spent 5 minutes typing this on my iPad trying to help you. Whether you take the advice or not is up to you. |

It is all well and good getting an unpaid cheer leader.
That does not bring in sales. Might make you feel better. Appears to be making them feel better.
Listings are what are needed to kick start everything. |

Do you know the OP's budget?
That costs money.
Might be more sensible to amend their business plan before spending bucks like you suggest.

:FF: | Everything costs money - neither you nor I knows the OP's budget but options always exist...he can do whichever way he perceives to me right :d |

we have also contacted hobbycraft an a few other big names too | You need products listed before you advertise.
You can put an advertisement during the SuperBowl and millions of people will visit your website, but nobody wants to be the first person to list on an empty website. If your website has no traffic, at least make it look like it has traffic.
Hobbycraft and all the others will just completely ignore you or if you do get to spend money on advertisements it will be completely wasted.
Why would anyone bother listing their products knowing they are alone?
Why is it so hard to understand? |
| imjustme | 05-15-2014 07:52 AM | Re: new craft/handmade auction site One more thing:
You are a handmade items marketplace but when I arrive at your website as a first time user, I see absolutely no pictures of products. That's not very attractive or inviting. I should be flooded with huge beautiful product photos. That's one of the reasons why Etsy is successful. |
| crafty auctions | 05-15-2014 07:53 AM | Re: new craft/handmade auction site we have got a few products listed an we do know that we ll have more within the next fews days |

Re: new craft/handmade auction site That's the way to build the site - yes, you will have a huge slope to climb but you're doing it slowly - takes time and persistence |

I notice you now have live auctions. Good one :thumb:
However, are you aware that some of them may be subject to VeRo takedowns?
That needs to be checked to protect yourselves. |
