Could anyone help me out how i can drive ebay traffic to my personal website legally? and is there any way to contact bidders on my item.
Thanks in advance.

yea, i had that problem too. I have created my own website, but i doesnt get much traffic and thus i dont get as many orders. Maybe like 1 or 2 a month. I use adwords as well.

I think some of my listings canceled b/c I put my website URL on my listings to drive traffic. Ebay was not having that at all. lol

Something else you can do (don't know if it was mentioned in other threads) is to include a note in all items sent that you have a new website - and provide the URL, of course.

no i think ebay will cancel your listing if you put personal website URL's on your listing.

I wasn't talking about putting URLs in listings.
I said "include a note in all items sent" - meaning when you send a package.

whats the difference, if your gonna put a note in your listing that you have a personal website, you may as well just put the site url. Im sure you'll get flagged either way. I dont think ebay is that stupid. IDK.

Heck, I even got listings canceled b/c I put "BUY IT NOW POSSIBLE" in my listing before I had enough points to list a fixed auction.

*sigh*
aking, Once again, I am not saying that one should put a link in their eBay listing. Of course that wouldn't be advisable.
What I am suggesting is that when a seller mails the package to the buyer, to include a piece of paper in the package advising the buyer that the seller has a website external to eBay. eBay would know nothing about what is included in the package.

I'm sure others understood what I was saying.

You guys should actually read the rules ebay puts out on this.

-- You can make an "About Me" page where you can post a link to your website

-- In your listings you can link to a jpeg of the item, that picture can be hosted on your website.

--In your listings you can link to a page on your website that further explains something about the product. ex. warranty, shipping policy - However, that page cannot have links to similar items you are selling on ebay.

-- In the email paypal sends you, --payment notification-- you get the buyer's email address. You can then send that a person an email to inform them that their item has been shipped. From there, you could ask the buyer to opt in to your email list.

All of the above are Kosher

You can also stuff packages with sales coupons for items on your site.

I had an idea last night - send an email to buyers from suspended accounts offering them say $10 cash back if the paid via Google checkout on the eBanza store - that way I get my Google NOW and can refund some of the balance left in my paypal account to my customers as a REWARD FOR USING Google ....lol

ebay classified ads work for driving traffic to your site. - Look into it!

eseller 04-09-2009 01:34 AM

ANOTHER TIP - EbAY ALOWS YOU TO INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADRESS IN YOUR AUCTIONS - I MEAN HOW COULD THEY NOT - SO JUST DO IT LIKE THAT

eseller@yungfresh.com

and if your seller name matches people will say hey - lets go see whats on yungfresh.com

thats a risk free way to do it
