You'll want to track which keywords convert into a sale. In order to do this AdWords will supply you with tracking code which you should place on your 'thank-you' page.. and so when someone who clicks on any of your ads lands on your thank-you page (they purchase someone from you), AdWords will know which KEYWORD led them to your site and thus converted them into a customer. Now with this knowledge of which keywords are converting into a sale and which aren't you're able to remove the non-performing keywords and keep the performing ones..
About keywords you typically want to focus on buying keywords.. a keyword a person will type in when they are ready to purchase your product.. such as BUY Widget.. Purchase Widget.. you want to avoid 'Free Widget' as a negative keyword..
That's only the tip of the ice berg but maybe it helps a bit.. more details in the SixFigureBoss guide I just wrote.. SixFigureBoss: Create Your Own Online Business!
Good luck! |
