Not that it cannot be done, but it has to be done CAREFULLY. I certainly wouldn't send thousands of emails at a time. Have you looked into a service that handles emails? Have you thought about the SPAM angle?
Honestly, I've also wanted to use my email lists for awhile, but I'm somewhat hesitant because of the whole SPAM issue. I've spent too much time and money building up my website to allow anything to happen to it. So, I've mostly been using Constant Contact, but they have an opt-in procedure that must be followed, so you cannot just upload old lists.
I know this sucks, because technically, we are not proposing to spam anyone, these people have bought from us in the past. But ISP's are NOT going to make that distinction.
I would be interested in any ideas on this issue myself. | I never considered the spamming issue you mentioned.
I don't mind sending 200 emails a week instead of 1000.
Would that help?
Also, I am trying to pull out relevant emails for the website
I will promote. Meaning, if someone bought item X from me
in the past, he will only get an email regarding the website
that sells item X (or same niche).
As of services that handle this, there is the above link in my
previous message.
I also found this service, but they haven't replied to my questions: https://minemymail.com/
For $10 they will extract all emails from your mailbox (title and body)
Looks promising, but so far their CS seems slow. Not a good start.
I asked them if they provide an option to divide the extracted emails to folders. So I will have folder with emails of customers who bought item X,
so they will only get a marketing email for a specific website I hope it is possible. If not I am not really sure how I can
handle this, besides sending all emails, promoting different websites of mine to all of my previous clients regardless of which item they have purchased. I guess this is where spamming can hit me back.
