What places are best for payouts? I've been designing sites since I was 16 but never really got into monetizing sites. Right now, I'm using ad sense, other than that I don't really know what is best.

Try affiliate networks... depending on what your website is about you can usually find a good product to promote for commissions.

For example you see the three bank logos about this post? It might be the eBay Stealth banner, refresh your page. But those buttons are affiliate links for savings accounts. If someone clicks on one and signs up I make around $20.

Sign up at cj.com and look for some good products to place on your website to promote.
