so does this really work? does your page get traffic? anyone using this?

The_Cynic 11-23-2008 05:20 PM

Amazon has their own affiliate program.

Is this like shoppingads.com which aggregates ebay afilliates to qualify for higher comission levels and then spilts the difference with You?

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com...ssoc_join_menu

From looking at the commission structure amazon has, this doesn't make sense like being a shoppingads.com affiliate does.

I mean you could just as easily grab amazon's product feed to populate your pages and take the entire amazon commission yourself in your amazon amazon affiliate account without sharing it with these guys.

In fact there was a kerfluffle a while back because a guy did just that on his site ( took the Amazon product feed to populate his pages) and then he submitted a feed of the products to google base. The dude cleaned up , 10k per week until google banned him from Google base. They don't allow aggregated listings.

anyone currently doing this?

John14789 12-01-2008 01:09 AM

If you want your own online store up and running in less than 30 minutes then this couldn't be a less easier task to do. If you seriously want your own business then I suggest you try this out.

411guru 12-01-2008 01:10 AM

John,

Are you currently doing this or are you simply promoting it?

John14789 12-01-2008 01:16 AM

First of all I personally am using this and am also promoting this!

I'm in the process of making my store all custom. I'm also implementing some of my other products in my store so I haven't made the site live as of yet. This is the perfect solution for me since I have a couple product lines which I sell and with only a couple product lines I can't open a onlyne store but if I have lots of stuff to sell then it makes sense to do so. So with this program I'm able to have tons of stuff in my store.

.

seems kinda pricey:

" After the 7 day trial I will be billed $59.90 monthly for the continued service of the website. "

411guru 12-02-2008 01:36 PM

Its not that bad if they have integrated cart and payment processing. Yahoo stores charge $129 a month.

John14789 12-02-2008 02:43 PM

With this service you get a webstore with intregrated cart, a merchant account, amazon a-z guarantee, products will be shipped directly to your customers by amazon, and much more. I don't see any other service which can compare to this. You can just try it out for 7 days and get a feel for it and I'm sure you'll like it.

trig 12-02-2008 02:57 PM

.

why would they buy from you and not amazon directly?

John14789 12-02-2008 03:15 PM

First of all the customers don't know your products are dropshipped by amazon. Second thing is that the customers don't have to sign up to buy something from you like they do with amazon. Your customers will think of you as a legitimate online store.

aking 12-02-2008 03:41 PM

So John, can we see your online website? Post a link so I can see an example of the online store. Thanks.

John14789 12-02-2008 09:04 PM

As I said before I'm still working on it. I just started on my store a couple days ago. I'm not going to post my store URL out because it contains product which I sell on ebay and I don't want people seeing that.

GREMLIN 01-09-2009 02:37 PM

Hi John I know this is an old post. Could you give us some feedback on how this store is working for you now. Do amazon also promote the shop for you or would we need to do that? Also what kind of sales are you getting out of this? if its personal then no bother, its just that i might be interested if it runs itself and gives a ok return
cheers

John14789 01-09-2009 11:07 PM

This wouldn't really work for you Gremlin since your in the UK.

yaw1800 01-10-2009 06:08 AM

but how is the store running so far?? would you recommend?

John14789 01-10-2009 03:47 PM

My store is bringing in around 20-30 dollars almost every day. I'm quite happy with my store and I do highly recommend it.

GREMLIN 01-11-2009 10:33 AM

That sounds great John,

What stock is selling for you, is it your own or Amazons? If its yours then how much of Amazons products are you selling? The reason im asking is because i still might be able to do it from the Uk if its all automated by Amazon.

Do Amazon promote your website aswell?

My understanding of this is that its a ready to go website that has amazon checkout along with amazon products and when the orders are made they are shipped from amazon direct to the customer and you can list your own products too. Is this correct?

Anychance of a link

I clicked on the link in your other post but it takes you to webfetti

John14789 01-12-2009 12:42 AM

1. Amazons
2. I'm only selling Amazon's products
3. Yes, they do promote my site
4. Yes, you are correct.
5. The offer is only valid for US users

nobody999 02-08-2009 05:25 PM

will this work even though my amazon seller account is suspended?
