my site

The gal from Texas who asked for feedback a few weeks back inspired me to get off my rear end and start working on a new site. (Her site was nice)

I am right now putting on the finishing touches. The site is -

www.MyDiscountCell.com

I would love some feedback or constructive criticisms. I still have the back product pages to complete and the SEO optimization (page titles) but you should get a feel.

Thanks everyone and Happy Holidays...

Looks Good!

But when I clicked on the specifics on the Motorola W220...the Samsung D820 came up?

aking 12-26-2008 11:20 PM

nice, who designed your page b/c I need some help with mine. :)

aspkin 12-27-2008 07:00 AM

It's getting there. :)

Are you using a shopping cart? Or just piecing things together?

TMiles 12-27-2008 09:56 AM

Aspkin,

I will be adding a cart tomorrow. I have a free cart that is OK.

Thanks...

Aking, I design the sites myself....

TMiles 12-28-2008 02:20 PM

Well,

I finished the back product pages, so the Motorola W220, now pulls up correctly. I also finished the shopping cart.

I think I am about ready to advertise....

I would love some comments, constructive feedback, etc....

Thanks all and Merry Christmas...

To tell you the truth it doesn't look that professional and I doubt you'll get many sales.

Work on making your site look sleek and more professional before you go live.

Just some advice.

TMiles 12-28-2008 06:52 PM

Aspkin,

What would you have in mind? One thing I try is to keep sites simple. Too many "professional" sites have 50 to 60 links on the front page, and they are too confusing.

If you would please provide some more detailed advice, I would appreciate it.
...

Maybe a few specific ideas would provide some better insight as to your comments...

I like it very much. Why? When you are in the market for a cell phone, quite often you may be wondering about if the phone is unlocked, contracts and if that means a less than pleasant time speaking to Customer Service. You have
addressed any concerns I might have at once. So that works for me.
Further I like the layout, colors and the general feel. Not over keen on 'glitz'
and your site does not have this.
Good Luck with this. Happy New Year

Well I mean you should use a professional shopping cart, something complete so you do not have to piece it together.

Maybe cs-cart or a free shopping cart.

It's a good start with a lot of information buyers want, but it doesn't look professional enough to get any buyers.

Just letting you know from my experience, the more professional a site looks the more trust customers will have in you. And trust is key for online sales.

TMiles 12-29-2008 07:10 PM

I will work on this tomorrow.....

Thanks

Your Discount Cell site looks very good.

But the speed likes a snail.
