anyone sold on ecrater

Has anyone had any luck selling on ecrater, I would like to try it, but could not figure out how you list your items, does anyone know? They do not hav ea place that says list your items for sale.

Basically you get a mini webstore and it hosted by them..FOR FREE...

VERY VERY little traffic but it does get you lsited on GoogleBase.I sold there a few times

Ditto - I make a few sales here and there from Google traffic. Not too bad for the price.

It's easy to list your items once you get your store.

I just sold my first item today, but I have listed like 10 items 2 months ago and forgot about it until now lol

I don't think many people go on ecrater.....
Is not mainly for selling, I think..more for getting a website...

I made a thread my experiences on it before.

I have sold quite a few items on my ecrater website, it's actually quite good, obviously the traffic is not as good as ebay.

My only problem is the checkout, because my google merchant account is in £gbp whenever a customer presses BUY NOW button they get an error as my merchant account won't accept £usd ! I get round this though as I put a note on my listings stating if customers get an error at checkout to email me and I will send an amended invoice converted to £gbp.

I am not sure if I am allowed to link my site to here, but anyone interested in seeing it PM me

I just signed up and am busy adding to my store. I have a link in my email to it. I am hoping to have some success with it, along with my website.

I used their import tool to copy all my eBay store listings over there. It took a few days to be approved and, once there, had HTML converted to text but the photos showing. Definitely sub-optimal, but it was a bad time to be trying to invest quality time in improving. I deleted a lot of listings and got maybe 4 sales over the Christmas season. Slow volume, but you can list your top 20 or top 50 or anything you're confident you can keep in stock. It's not a good place to list fast-moving low-stock items because you'll forget about it and have a sale of something you've already sold out.

ANOTHER POSSIBLE USE: Undercut your eBay prices by the cost of the listing/FV fees and refer people to your eCrater listing if they want you to reduce a price on eBay but are reasonable about what they'll pay. You can remind them that PayPal works fine on ecrater and PayPal guarantees still apply on other sites if payment is made thru PayPal.
