EBay and Tax Info
 

Hi, I want to make an eBay stealth account but I ran into a problem.

1. I'm having a hard time finding an address to use on eBay, I used up all my relatives and friends' addresses, I believe that most virtual addresses/mailboxes are blacklisted on eBay. I don't believe PO boxes or UPS store mailboxes work so my only option is to use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address (probably not gonna work) or to use a random person's address in my city.

Using a random address could work the problem is when it comes to tax info how will I explain to the government this random address that I don't live at or own?

The problem with virtual address/offices that when you look up the address it shows its used for receiving mail. It doesn't look like an building that conducts business or an office. Like for example 123 ABC Street will show up as ipostal on google and everyone knows what ipostal is.

Idk what to do not any virtual address is gonna work eBay is not stupid.

Did you even read my post?

I've read the stealth guide it's outdated so stop recommending it, you can learn the basics of stealth without buying the book just by reading the forums. :pound:

You must be getting a commission because you LOVE recommending the stealth guide.

If you truly have read the guide, you wouldn't be asking such basic questions.

And your attitude says a lot about yourself.

Just rent a cheap place, a unit or a flat depending on your budget - it will give you a new address and you can open a new bank account there, once you become solid on eBay just cancel the rent so you'll have all the documents like utility bill etc etc I think it could work.

Kind of an old post to bring out - renting a cheap place can be tough to find

IRS does not care if you do not live in that address,you just run the risk of not receiving if it sends mail to that address.
when you file for return 1040,you put your real address on it.
