Ebay ss#
Hello, I have a question, I previously bought a stealth account from seller here. Unfortunately, I believe he is no longer a seller as I don't see him selling accounts any longer and isn't responding back to me any longer. Ebay is asking for a ss#, and he put in one and whats showing on Ebay is a name with the last for numbers with 2 of the numbers that are showing (ie **23). I had someone tell me I could just replace that with my 9 digit ss# and I would be good to go, but will that work? If it has different name and a different SS#, or is this stealth account dead, thank you in advance for any advice. |

you would need to change the account details to yours and use your SSN
ebay do online SSN verification so that SSN + name + DOB must always match |

EBay can only check if the number is genuine and not the name that it belongs to or DOB. |

| According to the SSA only employers can check SSN’s for new hires and it only allows checks for name and SSN, not DOB and address. This is done by The Social Security Number Verification Service.
EBay’s MP will be able to access this as they issue a 1099, however they do not report this information back to eBay due to privacy laws |

| it is naive to think ebay do not get a (mis)match reported , for example it is known for a fact that adyen report to merchants the results of their verification , it is stated in the documentation on their site |

| Ayden is not eBay and they can not reveal SSN details to eBay, that is why you can put your correct details into MP and have the stealth details different, they do not report it to eBay. |

Ebay would need our SSN for state sales tax reporting-if the state finds out the seller is not collecting or under collecting sales tax from his buyer,it would come out of his hide.if he has been buying merchandise for his business,he has to pay sales tax,someone else may chime in |

| You are correct and reported from previous threads eBay can only check name and dob against the SS records, they will be doing this to anyone who sells over $600, thanks to Biden. Knowing this administrations IRS when the 1099 lands in their laps from eBay they will want their share of income tax from it even if you sell your own property, it’s going to be be a nightmare, that’s why he wanted another 87,000 IRS agents, not to pursue the rich but to persecute the working and middle class Americans. |

it is a fact that the results are reported , it does not matter to ebay what the details are , if they see the verification failed they take down the account |

I changed my details on an account I recently had that was linked, got an email saying I had to verify my details to receive payout. I don't care about the account anymore so I don't exactly know what this means, but it's the first time I've seen it happen. I think it is because of the new law that got passed.
Changing details like that might auto flag accounts now for ID verification. Maybe not, but I definitely see this being a thing in the future. |
