Hi,

a question that keeps coming up for me: does the bank account name have to match the eBay account holder? I haven't been able to find any clear information on this yet. Some say yes and others say no. So the idea is to create a stealth account and use your own matching bank account, or is that a bad idea?

Many banks will allow deposits in stealth name - I'm speaking about Canada, USA, and UK from my experience.

Which bank do you intend to use? Might help to provide name and other forumites will confirm.

it must be OK,many on this board have stealth account and have no problem receiving $$,I assume they are linking a bank account not in stealth name

Yes, I would like to use my own bank account. Either for ebay.com or ebay.de, whichever is easier. In Germany, only pure bank accounts are accepted, no Wise, Payoneer, etc. For ebay.com, I would have opened a Payoneer account in my name, but the eBay account is not in my name.

Can you recommend any Neo bank (fintech) that provides US IBAN for non citizens ?

AVOID WORLD FIRST BANK! Their routing number seems flagged to ebay, they had the one resell from chase jp morgan

Answer is: NO, you don't need the bank account to match your eBay account names.

Anyone else saying it does, are just inexperienced.

MP payments is not handled by EBay,it is by Ayden ( or ADYEN) THE Payment processor.you should do your own research.
