May Have Wasted My Time w/Creating a Stealth Acct.
 

Well, I have to say after finding this site it has opened my eyes to a whole new world. I was suspended over 6 months ago for something stupid, of course. Said I violated a VERO policy..provided receipt where I bought item. Anyway, since then I have created an account through my sister BUT she lives in Texas and I live in California. Yesterday, I got an email from Paypal on both my account and my sisters saying they needed some information updated. I think I may be in trouble. I have quite a boat load of money sitting in my sisters account and I am afraid it will be lost. I don't know legally how they can do that but I am sure they will find a way. Anyway, I am glad to have found your site and WILL DEFINITELY be buying the book and subscribing. I am not sure where to go from here.

Welcome LasVegas68! Is 68 your birth year? I find it interesting what people put in their user names, a lot of the time it's their birth date.

Anyway, yes you found the best place on the web for your eBay and PayPal concerns. To get you started, definitely read eBay Stealth, it has a wealth of knowledge that took a year to put together.

Yes, you are right it is the year of my birth. Don't know why I started doing that years ago and can't seem to break the habit. LOL

thanks for all the help...i really hope my sis doesn't get in trouble too....so far, no news since the emails...i have only logged into one account which is my sis's and not mine...i think it is a TRAP

if your scared about the money and you dont have account limitations in your paypal account quickly withdraw the money now because if you are suspended you have to wait 6 months to get your money

No, you shouldn't do that haorichards. Withdrawing all of your money at once is not a good idea. Especially after he got an email saying to update his info, that is sure to raise flags. Slowly withdrawing is a lot safer.

Since, my original post i have not gotten another email from paypal. what makes me think it was legit is because it hit my email and my sis's email at ghe same time. so, what i have done different is only logged into my sis's paypal and not mine. as of last night, i was able to successfully link a checking acct and transferred some of the money to that checking account...then this morning i sent a small amount to my paypal account and left enough in my sis's paypal to cover ebay selling fees. i have since stopped listing o, ebay. i have not had another scarry email since the first one. i am waiting anyday for the hammer. so, if it does happen at least i have the majority of the money withdrawn.

It sounds like a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ email to me, but time will tell. That's what every ⊗⊗⊗⊗ paypal email I have seen says, we need you to update your info. Who does the header of email say its from?

hi im new here ive been banned from ebay before trying to get back on, just wanna know can i create a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address but put my real bank account number and sort code for paypal or do they check names and address - can anybody help me? thanks

Please do some reading, this forum is full of good info. The bank account must have your real name and info, but paypal can't see your name through the bank account. So any name and address will work.
