There should be a welcome section where new signups can announce their memberships. They can be guided right from the welcome / signup email, which should explicitly list what should not be done. I should like new members to:
1. To only announce their membership on a specific thread.
2. Have the link to the marketplace and the stealth guide included in their welcome e-mail
3. Be instructed not to post a request for products/services.
4. Search the forum diligently before posting what might turn out to be an unnecessary duplicate.
I'm sure there're loads of other things that can be added but these just crossed my mind.  |
