I’ve been reading and filling the Aspkin Forums ever since I received my first ever suspension from eBay. At first I thought no big deal because I could just create another account which I did. In fact, I created several accounts. Eventually, one by one, eBay would get around to suspending those too. I started to panic because it seemed that as soon as I made another account, even in another person’s name, eBay would come along and nail me. So, to try and stay ahead of them, I would create 3-4 accounts at a time.
All this time, I had at least a half a dozen or more PayPal accounts which I had not had any issues with until recently when I had all of them limited. The majority of my PayPal accounts were under my LLC but I did have a few personal accounts. It all started to go down hill when I had a buyer file a $2,000 dispute with PayPal. Fearing the worst, I unlinked my cards and bank account. Ultimately, PayPal ruled in the buyer’s favor and put my account $2,000 in the negative. For months, I didn’t hear a word from PayPal. I had stopped selling at that point and used my other PayPal accounts merely for purchasing items off eBay. However, about a month ago I began to have issues with PayPal frequently rejecting my payments and when I started messaging them about the issue the situation with the old account came back up and PayPal told me that I needed to pay them back. I argued that it was a business account under my LLC and that I didn’t owe the debt personally and I refused to pay it. This is when all hell broke loose and PayPal unleashed its full furry on me by closing ALL of my accounts and in the process freezing over $5,000 of my money. They tell me that they plan on holding it for 180 days at which point they’ll email me to let me know how I can transfer it out of the accounts. But I highly doubt that I’m ever going to see that money ever again because PayPal are scumbags and scam artists.
So, here I am. I need to get back on eBay because it’s simply the best place for me to buy sports cards which I collect and invest in. And this means that I must also have a PayPal account. I’ve been researching as much as I can about stealth accounts and have been toying with the idea of creating some myself or just buying them from someone else. This is why I am here now. I’m seeking some advice and insight from others with experience dealing with stealth accounts so I can decide what to do because I just have to get back on eBay ASAP. I would greatly appreciate all the help any of you can provide me. I live in the US and must have a virtual credit card as well as a virtual bank account for my eBay and PayPal accounts. I truly need some help in the worst way.
