Hi! eBay account issues on purchased phone!
 

Hi folks, hope you’re all safe and well.
Been following the forum as a guest for a good year now. Thought I’d eventually sign up and get involved, it’s full of fantastic guides and honest people and I’m glad to now be a part of it. My name is Anthony and I look forward to talking to you all in the near future.

The reason I’ve joined is because I bought a phone off someone on gumtree and every time I try and make an eBay account with my fully verified PayPal account, the listing goes live and then suspends the account permanently. Any suggestions as to why this would be? Is the MAC of the phone black listed on eBay? Can I get round this or do I need to invest in an account...very frustrating!

Did you wipe the phone clean and use a new sim ?

There's one big problem for starters.

Now you've been suspended all new account info, ebay and paypal, must be different - all of it. from name, address, IP address, the lot.

IMO it is unlikely to be the phone, just poor stealth practices.

(PS don't use the ebay app. )
