PayPal and Etsy link help
 

I have a few questions regarding my recent experiences with Etsy and PayPal. About a month ago, I created an Etsy account, which has been performing well. However, the individuals associated with that account have had their access limited for reasons unknown to me.

Currently, I have an existing PayPal account with a small negative balance, which is approximately seven months old. I believe I can still utilize this PayPal account, as it was previously linked to my suspended Etsy account due to delayed bill payments.

If I were to change the email address associated with my PayPal account and link it to my successful brand new Etsy account, which has been operational for the past month, would it cause any issues? I am concerned about the potential consequences of making this change and would appreciate clarification on whether Etsy will be able to link the modified PayPal account.

adding a new e-mail to the pp account might be ok for some time - the link would likely not be an automatic one.

'however, the individuals associated with that account' - what's going on with your operation - why others involved?

I already did, added a new email to same PayPal (which was connected to my old etsy) and it worked, it’s been 2 days and my Etsy is good, nothing happened

Paypal allows us to have multiple email addresses for one Paypal account,they will share a unique number assigned to that Paypal account.so Etsy would know it is the same Paypal account you are using.
You can find this unique number in your Paypal account.

hence the link - but there are numerous instances of ppl getting through the system - it's not ideal but it can work for some time

It’s been 4 days already, my PayPal and Etsy both are good yet, getting sales and transferring money everyday.

But I don’t believe Paypal and Etsy share information because I see that people get different option totally to place order through Etsy amd PayPal, one of which says “check out with PayPal directly” and another one says “proceed to checkout via Etsy payments, etc” because when customers checkout on Etsy with PayPal, they get redirected directly to checkout on PayPal page rather than Etsy after adding it to the cart like they don’t share any information with Etsy to place order. I hope this makes sense.

I think it’s going great. I also got a call from Etsy, hey were telling me my shop is doing really great and if I needed any help I can reach out to them any time. :dance:
