Hi, I'm new to the forum-another EBAY victim

I'm new to the forum...another victim of EBAY. I was a Top Rated Seller and a Power Seller until EBAY initiated their new seller rules. Suddenly, all my listings were closed and my account indefinitely restricted. I had more than 3 open cases in the past 12 months...I haven't had any cases opened in 7 months. These were cases opened by customers who didn't contact me first with issues. Also, this was in the first few months that I became a seller. The cases were resolved and closed, but EBAY said that it doesn't matter. I also explained that sellers have no control over buyers opening cases; what is important is how they are resolved. EBAY again stated that it doesn't matter. If you have more than 3 cases opened in 12 months, it's too many. I was so upset. This is the season when sales are higher, and much needed. Now, I don't know what to do. I need the money, especially now. Help!

Welcome to the forum - we have all been more or so where you have been savez.

You will find the information around the forum great for setting up new accounts - the idea is to go stealth - meaning new info, new connections, new everything - you do NOT want to be linked to your old ebay activity.

You will find the Stealth guide simple and effective for getting back into the jungle of ebay quickly. Lots of folx around here will chime in and provide good advice if your questions are informed and intelligible ha.

Your old account on eBay is virtually dead so it's time to begin anew. All the best and looking forward to your contributions, etc.

Very reasonable and sound thinking [One would think]

How these guys keep surprising me is beyond me. I swear, someone has sold a million shares short and is dive bombing the company. Has to be. No logical reason for some of their actions but to hurt the company it would seem... Killing a TRS for 3 lousy disputes that they quickly resolved... What can you say to that...

Sorry for your loss. Go stealth, go now and go with lots of accounts to spread it all out. Hopefully you can be back up soon enough.

Welcome to the forums.

You know sometimes I think about my stealth accounts, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info, and ask myself whether I am doing the right thing for fooling ebay and amazon...

Doing the right thing by going stealth??? F*** yeah! The happiness and pleasure that I get from fooling the heck out of ebay is just priceless after what we all have been through. Your case is just another example of how effed up ebay is with their stupid rules and policies... All of our stories are probably all similar.

Buy ebay stealth and start over again. I know it will be a long and painful process, but you need to take revenge from the nazis for what they have put you through. If the government had a policy where a store had more than 3 customer returns within 12 months, there would be no stores left in the country.

the good idea is go buying ebay stealth to know more ,and also try to find some other good way to sell stuff, besides ebay.

Try some local site or build your own site.

Yeah, inthezone, that's what I'm talking about. When I called EBAY to appeal this they said that they were sorry, but those were the new rules. You know that there are some strange people out there on EBAY, and someone is ALWAYS going to complain no matter what you do. You have no control over someone opening a case, and EBAY does nothing to discourage them. EBAY told me that it doesn't matter if you case was resolved; their new rule is based on the number of cases opened. This is from EBAY:

Here are the limits for open cases:

Top-rated sellers may have no more than 0.5% of total transactions with open cases. All other sellers can have no more than 1% of total transactions with opened cases.

Top-rated sellers may have no more than 2 opened cases before they receive lower search visibility for listings or removal of Top-rated seller status. All other sellers may have no more than 3 opened cases.
