New to forum and have ip question
 

Hi,

Im new to the forum as paypal froze my account with 5 grand in it :(

I have a friend who is helping me get up and running however he is based in China. I currently use BT internet and cant figure out how to change my IP address. I have pulled the cable outta the wall, reset the box but it still does not change. I have also used the cmd prompt to change the ip address however my router doesnt recognise the computer so i need to change it back. I seen a thread saying sky allows you to change IP at the hub. However im hoping someone knows how to change the IP address if BT is who im with.

Welcome to the forum, not all isp's let you change ip, you can try broadband sticks or phone tethering, if you search the forums there's plenty of threads on the topic.
