Hi - Yet another newbie here. Questions about paypal verification.
 

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to this forum and just read the Stealth Guide a couple weeks ago. It was very helpful, but somewhat overwhelming. :eek:

I am in the process of trying to get back up and running already on eBay even though it seems the best advice is to learn as much as you can first and go about it slowly. I have created an ebay account and a new paypal account with new info but I've come into a snag with my paypal verification. Within two days of opening it they said there was suspicious activity on my linked bank account and they need identification verification. Is this a normal request or did I already get linked? I'm wondering if I should start all over again or if this is a normal process. They're asking for one of three things (photo I.D., billing statement with name and address or credit card with name and address). Also, are there any suggestions on how to get a prepaid credit card sent to a PO Box?

Are you sure you followed stealth with regards to IP and phone number too? Did you reuse an old bank account?

While pa yp al does request docs, a request from the get-go is likely due to something being flagged in terms of old news.

Hmmmm, I wouldn't be surprised if I screwed something up already although I was trying to be as careful as possible. I used a new phone number, new address, new IP, new name of course and as for the bank account well that might have been what got me. I used the savings of an existing bank account (the checking of the same account is linked to my suspended ebay account). Do I have to get an entirely new bank account then?

It seems I might have more luck in just using a friend or family member's current ebay account that they never use. I have a lot of questions regarding how that would work if I live in CA and they live in OH.
