The ultimate ebay horror story
I have over 500 positive feedbacks on ebay and only 2 negatives (one for my using plastic grocery bags for putting in box instead of bubblewrap, the other for sending one late). My first horror story came when I first started the acct. I bought some movies at a local Movie Gallery and put them on auction. Immediately the ads were canceled, I got a letter stating I was selling bootleg / counterfeit movies , and my account was in jeopardy. Wow, I wonder how they got their information ! No one ever came to my house, and confiscated the movies and stated they were counterfeit.
I promptly called the FBI and volunteered to send them the movies to prove they were the real thing. But then I got to thinking, I have a receipt from the store I bought them, no one from ebay or any investigating organization ever contacted me BEFORE my email was sent, so my only conclusion was was that I had priced my movie under what most of the other sellers had theirs for and someone was jealous.
Afterwards, I started selling good. Things were going great but I made a mistake soooooo many people do. I let someone buy several items and allowed them to wait nearly a month to pay me. MISTAKE!!! When they finally did, I had not even had them in the mail two days when they filed 8 NON DELIVERY complaints with ebay. My account was suspended permanently.
Even though I had the receipts from the USPS . Had sent the items with confirmation, THE FACT THAT I HAD NUMEROUS NON DELIVERY COMPLAINTS FILED (even though they were the same person) AGAINST ME, My account was ended. |
