Hi all first post here as im new.
Found this forum after i googled

My story goes something like this.....
I have been using ebay for yrs,buying and selling with little to no dramas.
I never liked using paypal as i think the fees are too high and there is no protection for the seller it would seem.
Now we all know that ebay is a great advertising platform,and i mainly used it
for selling by listing my ph number on the individual listings.(if someone genuinely wants it they will call)
I avoided a lot of fees by listing as a classified type listing (free) and then
cancelling auction up to 12hrs b4 end time,therefore avoiding final value fees.
This made for free advertising i thought and was working quite well for me as my phone number put me in touch with buyers and therefore transacting off of ebay.
A while back they changed the listing rules and you had to offer Paypal or merchant banking as a payment option for buyers.
So i decided to set up a paypal account.
Then i listed and sold quite an expensive item to which buyer wanted to use paypal.After communicating with buyer and telling him i was quite busy and he will need up to 10 days to recieve item.All good or so i thought.
The payment arrived in my paypal account and i sent the item.
Heres the interesting part.....
About 5 days after i sent the item he put in a item not recieved case and paypal reversed the payment from my account and i was left with no item no money and high fees from both ebay and paypal including a reversal fee.
Now i sent the postage reciepts and all to ebay and the buyer etc and the buyer plainly stated he got no item (yeah right), Australia Post didnt even care and would not escalate to an investigation so i put it down to a bad unlucky costly experience.
Now ive tried multiple times and they (EBAY) still ban me as they link me to my original account. Ive been careful to not ue the same addresses,phone numbers,images in listings etc,but to no avail. They seem to have a very sophisticated system and im looking for advice or help on how to get back on and sell and buy again legit.
So i will be reading these threads with interest.
