How to apply for DBA name in US?
 

Some one could tell me how to apply for DBA "Doing business name" in US?

Yeah, go to the IRS website and file for the EIN and it will let you do the DBA.

Its not a business license but will get you the EIN.

As I say all the time though, you should not take it lightly. People are throwing them around and not understanding that they are now in business after doing it.

The IRS WILL want to know all your detailed business dealings from now on.

File one year and not the next will almost guarantee an audit as well. Then they will probably find what you did over the last several years as well.

Since you are NOT in the USA, you need to get advice from a tax account about doing this.
