Does any one know when a newer/updated version of ebay stealth is coming out? I want subscriber benefits but I already have version 3.0 and I don't feel like just buying it for the subscriber benefits when I already have it.

GTB 03-12-2012 05:07 AM

GTB 03-12-2012 05:16 AM

haha yeah

never a dull moment in GT's life

rsot 03-12-2012 05:42 AM

Wonder how the ewes are tasting for her family

GTB 03-12-2012 05:49 AM

rsot man

GrannyT 03-12-2012 05:53 AM

We finished lambing last night - 980 lambs this year - 30 orphans all being bottle fed

GTB 03-12-2012 05:57 AM

wtf:faint:

that is amzong to say the least

props to you GT

GrannyT 03-12-2012 06:06 AM

Out of 400 ewes we had 98 sets of triplets - unheard of for us - the best tupps we have ever had - they are Texels that my other half paid over £2,400 each for but they have paid their rent this year that's for sure

GrannyT 03-12-2012 06:06 AM

We expect to lose 50 or 60 over the next 2 weeks though

GTB 03-12-2012 06:09 AM

good to hear GT:)

good when hard work pays off in the end

and hope the loss is not too much,i know it will be part and parcel though

GrannyT 03-12-2012 06:13 AM

We shall find out later this year when they go to market if it was worth it or not. Last year was

In farming you put your money down, work two or three years and then someone else decides how much you get paid.

Ebay is much easier but then I wouldn't live where I do

rsot 03-12-2012 12:05 PM

If you dont mind my asking GTran, even with the 50-60% expected live rate - what will you do with so many lambs? I realize you don't slaughter them (unless I am wrong) but for commercial purposes, what will be done? Fleece?

GrannyT 03-12-2012 12:41 PM

They go for sale to the local mart and they are auctioned. Price depends on conformity and weight - last year we averaged £44. 29p per lamb.

They go from their to a slaughterer/processor (about 20 miles away) where they are killed, butchered and packed for the supermarkets

Same with the cattle

Eggs go to Tesco as Welsh Free Range Eggs

Horses, dogs, cats and GDs guinea pigs all stay here with me.

(Coronation Chicken followed by Home Made Bakewell and custard tonight)

rsot 03-12-2012 01:17 PM

Ah you sell off the livestock - good. Seems kind of a low price per lamb no? For the amount you put into them? Or does it turn out well for profit.

GrannyT 03-12-2012 02:01 PM

It's a numbers game Lumberjack - top price was nearly £70 but was very low mid season. I would rather we got rid of the sheep but its in his blood - he loves em - I've just bottle fed all those orphans and I've got it to do again at 10.00pm. Luckily we have cows with calves at foot so we can pinch their milk

rsot 03-12-2012 03:59 PM

Ah ha - self-sustaining =) Very nice.
