New seller suspended after 24 hours.. *sigh*
 

What's going on everyone? Just thought I'd drop in and say hello! I'm from Texas, but currently living in Utah for the next 4 years for dental school. I thought I'd start a side business selling on eBay to help reduce the ridiculous amount of student loans I'll have by the time I graduate, but eBay has successfully destroyed that plan. :mad: I plan on using the techniques I learn here to (**hopefully**) get back on track. I look forward to hearing all of your success stories throughout these forums! :D

24hrs, yeah that's pretty bad. Be sure to purchase the Ebay Stealth Book, it is full of awesome information you are going to need. Read it, Read it again, Read it a few more times, hopefully by then it will all make sense.

Listing on a computer at your dental school?

Can you explain a little more how your suspension happened?

Well I've been an e b a y member since 2007, but this was my first time opening a second account (business account). And yes, apparently I did post some high risk items, but it was from my home computer, not at school. I didn't know they were considered high risk items because I've seen HUNDREDS of other people sell them.

I got the initial E-mail that my post had been removed and that I not re-post similar items; the part that sucks is that I had JUST posted more items 15 minutes before I recieved that E-mail! When I logged back into my account to remove the items, it wouldn't let me delete the posts! I tried Googling and searching e b a y to remove the post, but nothing worked. I knew I was going to get some sort of suspension unless I removed it, and what do you know, an hour later I get another E-mail saying e b a y doesn't approve of my business model or something and that I'm indefinitely suspended from selling, but I can still purchase items. :faint:

I called e b a y and told the person that I was trying to remove the posts and it wouldn't let me, and that it was not within 12 hours of the auction ending so I SHOULD have been able to remove it with no problems. They agreed with me and didn't know what to tell me about the situation. I spoke to 2 other people and finally the last person said he'd put in an appeal from me and get back to me within 48 hours, which of course he didn't. That's when I found this site and realized that it's a lost cause. Sooooo this stealth book is my only option to get started again!

After browsing around this site, I had NO IDEA that e b a y and pp were such corrupt entities. But I learned that pretty quick. :violin: So it is what it is. No point in looking backwards now, just gotta look ahead and move on.
