| derbydave | 07-06-2012 03:40 PM | i'd just got a new bank account, new ebay and paypal account. bank verified with the 2 amounts. needed to verify cc, couldn't be arsed with changing address. decided better to send docs for address and photo verify. Got booted without getting on properly because of silly mistakes
so starting again next week! this'll be the 8/9th time in 2 and a half years |
| madmuppet303 | 07-08-2012 08:05 AM | :welcome;
The Stealth guide is amazing, as are the people who share knowledge on this forum. If you have to, to get a good start buy an account from one of the sellers on here. It's how I got started till i figured out how to create my own through reading and research. Good luck |
| Imakemoney | 07-11-2012 11:37 AM | Welcome :welcome; |
buy the stealth guide
ask questions
make a plan
run it past us |
| they_screwed_me_too | 07-11-2012 11:39 AM | dave dave dave
ask before acting
will save you loads of trouble pal :-) |
| derbydave | 07-12-2012 09:54 AM | Just got some paperwork sorted so I can get some basic bank accounts. Gonna sort out a Halifax, Barclays, RBS, Co-Op and Natwest accounts. So, the question is: Would you recommended paying for a few VCC Paypal accounts off here and linking the bank accounts to those? Or, as a cheaper alternative, change the addresses on the bank accounts and do it that way (modifying docs as proof of address change is no problem)? |
| they_screwed_me_too | 07-12-2012 10:01 AM | Halifax, Barclays, Co-Op and Natwest accounts work amazingly for stealth
halifax is particularly good for many basic accounts
the PP accounts can be done with some knowledge but if you are happy buying them and are new to stealth then maybe paying is a better option to you |
| meVebay | 07-12-2012 10:10 AM | If you start changing addresses on all those bank accounts, you'll screw your credit rating for many years to come.
There are many many easier ways round it. Research is king. |
| they_screwed_me_too | 07-12-2012 10:12 AM | if he knows how experian and co work and does it in the right way then changing address wont affect his CR |

| they_screwed_me_too | 07-12-2012 12:30 PM | i see your not a subscriber but the place to start has to be the stealth guide
as ive said before read and digest it and fill in the blanks on here
formulate a plan and run it by us on here and we will help
cans stress enough to get the book |
| derbydave | 07-12-2012 01:02 PM | right, well the plan so far:
stealth ebay and paypal accounts set up (about 2 weeks ago). similar name, but completely different address, date of birth, email address, phone number.
fiancée is going to open a bank account tomorrow (basic Barclays). this account will be used for the 2 deposits to verify the account.
now this is the bit i'm not to sure about: Getting a replacement visa debit card . this means that i will get a new 16 digit card number and 3 digit security code. as far as i'm aware, PP won't be able to link that Visa card to my bank account (i won't be entering bank account number & sort code). i'll be going to the bank to tell them i've moved to the address for the stealth account (i've changed my address with them at least 13 times since i've had the account (about 15 years.....i like to move)). that should verify the stealth accounts address.
the only other thing i can do is get a VCC PP account(s) off here. but that's £13. whereas the above option costs nothing.
PC has recently been formatted. Any old PP/EB account information has been removed from Chrome. I know that if I was to get another stealth account, separate user accounts are the way forward (and no doubt router reboots in between switching).
will start off selling legitimate things i've got in the house (baby stuff, a couple of bridesmaid dresses, proper Dreamcast games etc.). establish the account, then start selling stuff that will get the account banned within a few months.
that's the plan so far. i know my account will get banned eventually, i'm not wanting to get back on to have a lengthy and fulfilling business relationship with ebay & paypal, just make a reasonable amount of money in a short-ish amount of time. i know why my previous accounts all got banned/suspended, so those mistakes won't be repeated again. and once my next account gets banned, start from the top of here and repeat. |
| they_screwed_me_too | 07-12-2012 01:25 PM | you need to make sure your getting a new Ip address at every reboot (keep a log of them)
selling household stuff is a really good way to start (id hold off the dreamcast cames though)
theres no reason this account should get banned if your careful, why not sell legit items that wont get it banned ?
some people say chrome can have issues, i cant comment as i always use firefox with no problems
do you have access to the address youve registered ? ebay sometimes send a letter to raise selling limits from 10 to 100
id get a virtual card and use that if it were me search the forum for a usable alternative if you PM some uk sellers you can find one for half of the £13 :thumb: |

selling household stuff is a really good way to start (id hold off the dreamcast cames though) | missus keeps going on about them. last time i was properly on the bay, i used to buy shedloads of DC stuff, then sell for plenty of profit (eg. 15 brand new DC keyboards for £25 inc postage, sold for a tenner each). i've got about 30 DC games (all boxed) that i'm thinking of selling in bundles of 5. don't care if i sell them for a quid, just want the feedback. i know they're risky, which is why i won't sell them individually. pm me if you want some guidance |
| GreenBean | 07-13-2012 03:02 AM | Actually all you are doing is making another stealth account that will flop.
If that's what you fancy your choice.:deadhorse: |
| moneyhustler88 | 07-13-2012 03:50 AM | welcome to the forums dave :) your also very near me in the UK welcome and definetely buy the stealth book..it'll open your mind..but from what I've read have to agree with greenbean.. |
| moneyhustler88 | 07-13-2012 04:36 AM | you know this greenbean is the ebay godmother/ women god :thumb::FF: |
no...shes just a very clever lady
not just ebay |
| derbydave | 07-13-2012 07:07 AM | New debit card through. Different 16 digit number and security code. Will be going to the bank and changing the address. Barclays wouldn't let me have an account as I said I was just using it for eBay. . Have got a Halifax account on it's way, with a RBS and NatWest account to follow once I've given them so ID.
I'm not sure why GreenBean thinks it's all going to go tits-up. This is my first stealth account. The first few accounts I had were all interlinked (either through same address, same name/DOB) which also wasn't helped by my logging into all the accounts on the same PC, and probably using the same IP addresses. After reading through these forums, I realised I made some basic and stupid mistakes, which I should have really thought about. None of the details on my new account can be traced back to me. And besides, I'm expecting it to get banned sooner or later anyway. And GTB, I will be getting back to you. |
| derbydave | 07-19-2012 12:25 PM | Up and running. 25 items a month selling limit. 2 items listed (1 something and 1 something else) that are both above board. Let's see how long it lasts. |

| SimpleX | 07-19-2012 05:46 PM | So would doing 2 eB account per PP still get the 25 items/month restrictions or would that split into two as in 12 items/month per eB account? |

| derbydave | 07-20-2012 01:10 PM | 1st item sold. as one of the characters would say in the sold item............"let's go make some crazy money" |
