Newbie- 14 Years as Power Seller
 

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Been selling on eBay for 14 years (Power Seller); about three months ago, I received a Vero violation; I produced each and every receipt; thought all was fine until I was permanently suspended two days ago. I can still purchase on eBay and my Paypal account isn't frozen but it's not worth the hassle anymore except that I have over $3k in electronics that I can't return so I'm going stealth. Definitely plan on keeping eBay a "Safe" place to sell too.

it sucks losing your account this time of year.

Sadly, that is the case for many on here. Good news is, you can get back on your feet if you follow stealth properly.

Lots to read and learn on the forum and in the stealth book. Ask questions on the forum when stuck or need guidance.

I believe it. I would bet 98% of the buyers on here were the GOOD sellers that got messed up with a few complainer/problematic buyers. (hey, its bound to happen... sometimes no matter what you do you will run into a jerk along the way, or it may even be your own fault).
We tried hard, provided good products with good service, and because of a few buyers we got our ebay lives turned upside down.

Since January I went from top rated powerseller to below standard because of 5 low dsr ratings. 2 of which I can understand (though I did state the condition of the item in the description... buyer just didn't read), 3 of which I absolutely did not deserve.

Oh well, whats done is done...
Fact is ebay is killing off their good sellers while trying to weed out the bad ones. In the end all they will have is shysters pushing their snake oil, and us good ones now forced to sell dishonestly to be able to make ends meet.
Thanks alot ebay. I cannot wait till you are dethroned. You are digging your own grave.

1% I have to believe ebay has moles in here gathering intel. You would be stupid to believe they would stay away. They are here to steal the enigma.

As for the other 1%... they are the shysters, the snake oil salesmen. here to learn new ways to screw ebay, their customers, and the irs. Rotten to the core. Not sure how they sleep at night lol. Probably in a top of the line California King Bed :( How do they always seem to come out on top.

Many of us are here because of some silly rule eBay implemented.

Saw a post on here the other day mentioning their top powerseller was canned.

In the end, we all want to play in eBay's sandbox because of their sheer traffic and attention to their site. In order to play their game, one must understand their rules and how to stay under the radar.

Stealth helps us shift the balance of the scale.

Yes it does, the reason I have all this inventory now, I stocked up for holiday sales. Looking forward to going stealth and selling all of it, SLOWLY...I've been reading the forums and they are all GREAT!!
