I have been lurking on these forums for a little while as I've been selling on Ebay full time since about March of this year. It was going great, I was top rated and doing about 6k in sales a month, then I had a situation where I had a break in and some products were stolen, I didn't realize until after they had sold so I called Ebay and asked them what I should do and they said just cancel the sale and refund the buyer, which I did, then when the new standards came out in August I was below standard, sales came to a screeching halt but less than a month later I got a message from Ebay that I got the account back up above standard. Shortly after that I created a second account where I just sold a few items at first but eventually that account surpassed my first account in total listings and has kind of became my main account in a sense, well, this last evaluation I fell below standard on my second account and I know first hand how hard it is to sell anything when you're below standard so the chances of getting back above are unlikely but this is how I feed my family, I have a mortgage and kids to provide for so I'm going to try to do something while I can.

I'm obviously going to try my best to get the account above standard but we'll see...

Welcome to the forums friend.
Regardless of how you do with the accounts youre using at the moment make sure to study how to do things stealth. With ebay nothing is forever and you should make sure to have backup accounts to fall back on.

Thanks, I'm definitely going to try to set something up but I would really like to try to salvage these accounts if I can.

Any ideas on what I can do?

The below standard account is at 5.46 defect rate

I do about 50 transactions a month but I have experience with being below standard and it really does make it difficult to sell anything. Most of my listings are BIN, I have about 100 listings, maybe 5 auctions.

I've been reading some of the threads and some people say that auction style listings don't get hidden to the same extent as buy it now? I don't know how true that is...

Only thing I can think of is try to dump some things off dirt cheap and say a prayer...

Go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of cheapy items and sell them even cheaper - at a complete loss.
Make sure the transactions complete successfully and push your overall performance up.
Not much you can do. The only way to improve your performance is to perform better - as silly as that sounds.
