Hello everyone

I am very impressed with this community and the stealth book.

My name's Dan, I'm here to learn as much as I can about Stealth.

My ultimate goal is to, well, avoid being banned by ebay EVER again and run
as many accounts as I believe I can manage.

Anybody can explain to me what's the simplest way to change MAC address?
Which method do you use?
Also, Do you change your MAC address before each time you logging a different ebay account? :help:

Thank you guys.
-Dan

Re: Hello everyone

For me, changing MAC is easiest by running a different virtual machine. Some programs can easily let you spoof/change your adapter(s). Some also change the MAC on their routers which can often lead to a different IP address (win/win).

Kinda depends what you're going for.

Welcome to the forums.

I dont worry about MAC changing for eB - it's not required.

I just make sure IP is different and does not overlap

Welcome to the Forums !! for me Changing IP is a simple as turning my phone on airplane mode and back on.

Look into phone Tethering as its easy to transition to new IP.

Thanks for your reply.

Is Virtual Box a good software to go for?
Let's say you have 5 ebay stealth accounts.
Do you create 5 virtual machines and manage one stealth account on each machine?

I know, the IP is what counts. But in the ebook it's explained that by changing MAC address before each time you switch eb accounts - that's what changing the IP address.

I've read about this, sounds good.
If I have no wifi connection on my iPhone,
and I am using 3G cellular connection,
could I use the Tethering service anyway?

I have 4g on my phone. 3g should work fine. or you can also look into dongles.
Wifi on your phone wont effect tethering it will still pull from 3g data. So yes you can tether depending on your mobile plan aswell.

keep in mind you get a fresh IP everytime.

NOW...........
.

If you where looking for something dedicated.
I would go with router swapping. Its as easy as changing your Router. (Cheap router 5-20$)

Each router will have its own IP address that you can assign per account.

Can't always just assume that's what he/she meant :( too many cases like this

Re: Hello everyone

Yes guys I refer to MAC because changing MAC address will result in getting a new IP address.

I think I will go with Virtual Machines, one for each eb & pp account.

When you change MAC it does not guarantee a new IP.

I figured you were getting at the whole IP thing but did ask for MAC.

If you run a Virtual Machine, just because you have a mac, that DOES NOT get you a new IP. It gets your host computer a new MAC. Your router is the one that needs a different MAC as your ISP is who provides the IP. When the router/modem changes, then your ISP often gives you a new MAC.

Make sure to log your IP every time you get on. If you don't you can easily link account. One account goes down (if it is not linked to a already banned account) then they all go down.

Hi there Dan and welcome to the forums:)

Listen to SilentHill and nivo, they know their stuff and are correct. Just because you change your ethernet adapter or even the router mac does not guarantee a new ip. Try stuff out and use IPBurger.com to check the results.

That being said, a VM is still not a bad idea, especially if it's on your main computer. No need really to make more than one though I don't think. Just make as many user accounts as needed. It's kinda nice to have access to your host computer account, while still being able to use stealth user accounts in the VM.

Yes, you can tether via USB. That's how I do it :) Welcome to the forums

I see what you mean. I think I'll configure a static IP address for each VM macihne and use ipburger to ensure everything works according to plan.
