You can have as many account as you can manage.

Spread and differentiates sales on a varaiety of accounts.

Experiment selling differend kind of items.

eBay kicks a lot of people off their platform. Some of the time they are justified and sometimes not. In their efforts to minimize fraud, a lot of innocent users lose their accounts.

Before I got banned, I thought only con artists and counterfeiters lost their accounts. I was neither. I was STUNNED! I couldn't believe they banned me. I called to try to see what the exact issue was, how I could prove my innocence. But they wouldn't even discuss it with me. They just sent me canned emails.

Stealth is a way for banned users to get back on eBay. It is also a way for small business owners to have multiple accounts, so that eBay cannot shut down 100% of their businesses in one hissy fit. It makes your business more stable and allows you to spread your risk over several accounts. Call it risk management, if you will.
